Alina Taylor named best graduate of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at VSU

Margaret Alina Taylor of Moldova, Georgia is the recipient of the Spring 2022 Presidential Award for Academic Excellence for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Waldosta State University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from VSU 233.rd Starts Saturday, May 7 at 7pm on the front lawn.

Waldosta – Margaret Alina Taylor of Moultry, Georgia, is the recipient of the Spring 2022 Presidential Award for Academic Excellence for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Waldosta State University.

The Presidential Award for Academic Excellence is given to a graduate student of Harley Langdale Junior College of Business Administration, College of Nursing and Health Sciences, College of Arts, James L., Dorothy H., VSU, each of the six colleges. Devar College of Education and Human Services, College of Humanities and Social Sciences, College of Science and Mathematics.

Taylor will be approved at VSU 233rd Starts Saturday, May 7 at 7pm on the front lawn. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.

“Throughout my educational journey, especially during my time in Waldosta State, I was able to learn and grow intellectually and personally,” she shared. “From a young age, my parents instilled in me the value of hard work and enthusiasm. I have always done my best in every job I undertake and I am blessed to achieve academic success as a result. However, I know I can not achieve this without God’s guidance. According to Colossians 3:23 I seek to submit to the Lord everything I do: ‘Whatever you do, do it with all your heart, not as to men, but to the Lord.’ I attribute my success to the Lord and I am grateful for the opportunity to receive such a prestigious award for His honor and glory.

As a student at VSU Taylor, he was committed to academic and leadership excellence, and won repeated Dean List honors and the Colquit EMC Scholarship. She was a cell miller.

Taylor is an active member of the Funston Baptist Church in Funston, Georgia. After graduating from Colquit County High School as a salutatorian in 2019, she went on to receive the Steve & Theresa Huffstettler Scholarship, the Kate Jetter Scholarship, the James de Eunice Legacy Scholarship, and the Funston Elementary School Backschoice Scholarship. Taylor recently took a job at Pentas Wealth Management, a financial planning training company in Moultry. She will work as a client service associate focusing on marketing.

“I hope to spend my life giving back to the community by serving God and others,” she said.

Taylor’s supportive family includes parents Brad and Jamie Taylor.
