Andrea Lee, president of Milwaukee Alverno College, will step down in June

Sister Andrea Lee, president of Alverno College, will step down in June, ending her decades-long career as a leader in Catholic higher education.

Lee, 73, took over as president of the college in 2016, having previously served as Alverno’s trustee for nearly four years.

She has led various Catholic colleges in the US for 25 years and is a nationally recognized member of the Board and Executive Committee of the 200 – member Association for Catholic Colleges and Universities. Catholic colleges in the state and across the country.

In an interview with the Journal Sentinel, Lee said he was proud of Alverno’s mission to serve a diverse and local student body and hoped for the future of the college.
