This event is held annually the first and second weekend in October in conjunction with the Horseshed Fair. Here’s your chance to help support your community library and take home some needed books for the cold months. Friends members receive $5 off per bag the first weekend, so if you are not already a member, you may become one at the sale. Credit cards are again accepted this year. More than 600 boxes of books, DVDs and CDs are available and sorted into categories.
“Fill a bag” prices are $25 on Friday, Sept. 30, $20 on Saturday, Oct. 1, $15 on Sunday, Oct. 2, $10 on Saturday, Oct. 8 and $5 on Sunday, Oct. 9. Otherwise, hardcover. books are $2, trade softcovers $1.50 and standard paperbacks 50 cents.
Volunteers from the Friends provide staffing during the sale and help sort the books prior to the sale. We could really use some additional help to make this successful. If you would like to volunteer or to donate, please email [email protected]
