Ibrahima Konate is set to start for Liverpool against Rangers tomorrow night and Andy Robertson may also play.
The Athletic report that Joel Matip and Trent Alexander-Arnold face a period of between two to three weeks on the sidelines.
Matip came off during the second half of Sunday’s 3-2 loss against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium and Konate came on to replace him.
Konate suffered an injury in pre-season which means he is yet to start a match this term, but the report says he will play at Ibrox.

Robertson could join Konate in Liverpool side v Rangers.
Matip is also going to miss Sunday’s clash with Manchester City, so it seems the ‘incredible’ Konate is set for a first league start of the campaign too.
Joe Gomez looks set to come into the side at right-back, but this situation could also give Calvin Ramsay a chance in the first team.
The report says that Andy Robertson is back in training and could come into the side on the left hand side of the defense.
That is a boost for Jurgen Klopp amid these defensive injuries, with even Robertson’s understudy Kostas Tsimikas calling him ‘world class’.
Alexander-Arnold went off at half-time on Sunday after a challenge from Gabriel Martinelli and has been struggling for form lately.
Perhaps the time out of the firing line could give the England international time to get his form and fitness back, but the situation adds to Liverpool’s woes.
