Bhubaneswar, August 5 (UNI) The diarrhea situation in all the seven affected districts in Odisha is fully under control, official sources here on Friday said.

Participating in a review meeting held under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary SC Mohapatra, the District Collectors of Rayagada, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Sonepur, Nuapada, Gajapati and Jharsuguda said the diarrhea situation in their districts is under control.

The Chief Secretary has been informed by the district collectors that the drinking water sources have been disinfected and adequate quantity of medicines and ORS packets have been kept ready in all the sub centers and with the ASHA, Anganwadi workers and ANMs,

As per the information so far out of the total 680 people affected by diahorrea 610 have been cured, 53 are under treatment and 17 died as they reached the hospital late.
