Lewis and Clark take note of the new class offers

GODFREY – Community education courses at Lewis and Clark Community College will soon begin with several eclectic courses designed to educate and enrich community members.

“As always, we are proud to be able to offer these classes at L&C to help enrich the lives of members of our community,” said Becky Moore, an assistant in the community education department. “We offer courses in a number of subjects that are designed for both entertainment and education. We hope there is something for everyone with our community-based training courses throughout the year. ”

Upcoming hours:

• Welding for the Weekend Warrior – Saturdays April 9, 16 and 23, 8:00 – 16:30, Weber Workforce Center, Godfrey Campus. Participants will learn three welding and cutting processes plus basic production. For enthusiasts, this is a great way to learn basic safety and welding skills. Instructor: Charlie Vonder Haar. Course price: $ 250. Course code: CEPE-181-01.

• Swing dance for beginners – Tuesdays from April 19 to May 17 from 6 to 7 p.m., Godfrey Campus. Learn the basic and social steps of this dance in just five weeks. Instructor: William Trent. Course price: $ 45. Course code: CEPE-154-60.

• 21st Century Unplugged – Thursday, May 19, 18:00 – 20:00, Godfrey Campus. This workshop is designed to teach you how to survive up to two weeks without electricity. Instructor: Charles Herring. Course price: $ 25. Course code: CEHG-106-60.

• Morning Glow Yoga – Saturdays from April 23 to May 21, 8:30 – 9:30, Godfrey Campus. During the course, participants focus on the basics of yoga, including alignment, breathing, and meditation. Instructor: Nana Becoat. Course price: $ 35. Course code: CESC-153-51.

• Yoga for all – Mondays from 25 April to 23 May from 17:30 to 18:30 or Tuesdays from 26 April to 31 May (3 May without classes), 17:30 – 18:30, Godfrey Campus . During the lesson, participants will focus on the basics of yoga, including posture alignment, breathing work, and meditation. Instructor: Nana Becoat. Course price: $ 35.
