Manager, space innovation research work at DEAKIN University

The Education Manager of the Innovation Space will support initiatives to improve and innovate teaching and learning practices. Contribute to both the strategic design (re) and (re) development of university teaching and learning environments to promote learning and student engagement.

It is a highly collaborative role that involves working with a wide range of stakeholders across the university, including both staff and students, to understand and support the effective use and design of the university’s learning spaces in accordance with Deakin’s recommendations and principles. Design project.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Develop and deliver learning space innovations to support and enable digital higher education that enhances learning success, engagement and learning outcomes
  • Develop, transfer and improve resources to support the innovation of Deking Training Facilities.
  • Develop and deliver educational resources and links to build staff capacity for the effective use of the university’s physical and digital learning space.
  • Support the transition of university learning venues through changes in the external regulation of educational spaces in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Promote teamwork and provide appropriate trainers to enable individuals to make high-quality decisions and achieve goals.
  • Analyze problems, consider a range of options to identify affordable and comprehensive solutions and translate complex problems into clear and understandable goals.

To succeed, you have:

  • Higher degree with further work experience or a combination of rich experience in the field of communication, journalism and / or marketing
  • Strong and proven skills and experience in copywriting, designing, developing, editing and managing the content of promotional brochures and online content, including websites, blogs, social media
  • Experience in graphic design and photo editing
  • Experience of performing several activities simultaneously up to strict deadlines has been shown
  • Good working knowledge of a number of digital channels and platforms
  • Experience in working independently and collaborating is shown to be part of a competent functional team
