The Oregon Ducks are well placed to potentially gain a commitment from 5-star defender Richard Young, who is one of the best players in his position in the 2023 class.
Young, who is ranked as the 2nd RB in the country and the overall 19th player by 247 Sports, announced on Sunday afternoon his 7 best, including Ducks along with schools like Texas A&M, Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Florida.
While Young is apparently overwhelmed by Oregon at the beginning of his recruitment, this love for the Ducks has a chance to intensify as a 5-foot, 200-pound Florida product is scheduled for release to Eugene at the Oregon Spring match in April. 23. If he experiences the atmosphere at Autzen Stadium, something Dan Lanning has emphasized is extremely important for potential newcomers, we could see the Ducks becoming one of the leading candidates for this elite newcomer.
