The Carson City gun shop will host a free situational awareness class in Fernley

RENO, Nev. (ROUND) – After the recent assassinations of Naomi Irion and Anna Scott, Battle Born Munition in Carson City, he felt it was the right time to run a free self-defense course.

“It’s called Refuse To Be A Victim,” said Kristy Scott, owner of the Battle Born Ammunition. “Some things in this class were quiet in my opinion, because as women, let’s say we’re broken on the side of the road, one of the things this class teaches you is instead of sitting in the driver’s seat and phoning … you sit in the passenger seat so everyone who comes around will think, ‘Oh, they’re with someone.’ ”

Scott says it’s a job for her to help others survive.

“When I was 18, I was persecuted and survived a very violent sexual assault during a home invasion in my house and I got into an arms store,” Scott said. “My passion is to teach other people how they can survive and how to get through these things.

Although the course is part of the NRA course, it will not be a weapon highlighting.

“It’s all about becoming less of a target and it’s for men and women,” Scott said. “He talks about cyber security, home security, work safety, almost everywhere, but it’s a class of situational awareness.”

The training will also include demonstrations of the use of a defensive spray, stun gun and personal alarm, which is very easy to activate.

“We’ve heard all sorts of stories about women who have long been missing in Rene. In fact, I’d like to draw attention to this young lady, “Scott said, pulling out a leaflet with the missing person. ‚ÄúThis is the daughter of my dear friend Melanie; is missing near the episcopal area. It will be four years, not a word, in October. ”
