Will the Taiwanese occupation of the People’s Republic of China follow the horrors of Russia’s occupation of Ukraine?

About one-third the size of Ohio and has a population of 23 million, mostly Han Chinese, Taiwan was once a province of former imperialist China, ceded to Japan in 1898. Taiwan has operated independently since World War II, but has claimed it. The Communist Party, led by Mao Zedong, won part of China’s mainland in 1949, with two factions fighting to rule China.
