ORLANDO – Deployed on the defense Isaiah NixonThe Knights are doing very well in recruiting 2023. However, that is not all, as recruitment enters class 2024.
A few points need to be made and the podcast below goes in more detail, but here is a broad overview of what UCF fans need to know.
* The level of talent that is brought to academia has grown exponentially in just one year. The Knights are constantly competing with national recruiting programs, several of which were on campus this weekend.
* The UCF Defensive Queue will have a number of options Nixon makes his commitment on Saturday. Along with the commitment of colleagues and a defensive ending Kaven CallThe UCF now has several 2023 extreme defenders who are able to play from a two-point or three-point position.
This provides a number of options: 4-3, 3-3, 50, 4-2-5 and even more defensive front “names” and concepts can be used when staff are flexible. They can also help when players are assigned to one particular position and move there, ie the defense is short, so both Nixon and Call play this position more often. Same with the external linebacker. This is a huge step forward for the UCF Front Seven.
Speed. There were many skilful and fast athletes (2023 and 2024) in the UCF complex. This includes a local destination Aidan Mizellwide receiver from Orlando (Fla.) Boone, Tyree Pattersonwide receiver from Eustis High School (Fla.), a Randy Pittmantight end / H-back of Panama City (Fla.) Mosley.
Aidan Mizell is one of the fastest wide receivers in the product class of 2023.

* Length. Just to observe the young newcomers walking around the grounds, there were a lot of players who were very long-lived. It is unbelievable how many armed players have been on the UCF campus.
* Local taste. Top programs with coaches and players from across the Central Florida region, such as Cocoa, Apopka, Orlando (Boone) and St. Petersburg (Lakewood), to name a few, were on campus.
* Prospects for Georgia. Several talented candidates from Peach State gathered, including the involvement of linebackers Troy Ford, Jr. of Savannah (Ga.) Calvary Day School. Don’t be surprised if one, if not two, of his high school teammates joins him in Orlando. More on that below. It should be noted that the Knights find several larger bodies that can play along the offensive and defensive lines of Georgia. This state has long been known for producing lineman, and that is unlikely to change that soon.

Troy Ford, Jr. and his mother came to watch the spring game. He was a regular visitor of the UCF campus.

* Personal interaction. Coaches and employees are constantly bypassing prospects, coaches and parents. Knights staff are constantly striving to introduce themselves and ensure that each recruit feels welcomed by all UCF staff and the community as a whole.
* 2024 prospects were also on campus. It wasn’t just a situation where we soon brought seniors to high school. Probably the best nation in the class, the middle defender Adarius Hayes, managed to get to campus on Saturday. He plays for Largo High School (Fla.) Near Clearwater. He is one of the few players who could help a big university football program right now. Hayes has been to the UCF campus several times and the Knights will fight such as Alabama and Ohio State for his signature.

Adarius Hayes of Largo (Fla.) High School has as good prospects for defense as in the entire recruitment class in 2024.

Overall, it was a great recruitment weekend for UCF Head Coach Gus Malzahn and his entire team. It turned out very well. Here is a podcast that further discusses recruitment efforts.
