Xebia boosts data science practice with Poland-based GetInData

Global IT company Xebia has once again turned to Poland to beef its up ranks. The addition of GetInData adds a team of 120 data engineers and consultants to Xebia’s footprint.

Commenting on the deal, Xebia CEO Anand Sahay said: “With GetInData, we welcome some of the brightest minds in data to our team. This partnership adds a new level of scale to our data practice.”

The deal comes on the back of a longstanding collaboration between the two companies. Over the past years, the two have collaborated on joint projects and exchanged knowledge in shared communities. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Xebia has been active in Poland for years. In 2021 the firm instantly made Poland one of its largest markets in terms of headcount when it acquired 800-strong PGS Software. Today, Netherlands-headquartered Xebia (which is backed by private equity) has more than 6,000 staff working from 18 locations worldwide.

Founded in 2014 by former Spotify engineers, GetInData specializes in data science services and solutions, spanning topics such as big data, cloud, analytics, and machine learning. The Warsaw-based company works for clients across sectors, with Spotify, Truecaller, ING and Kcell the best-known names on its roster of clients.
